Club member Lance Wilson was having trouble with his 1978 Malibu and discovered that the problem was due to a broken valve spring along with several weak ones. He ordered up a new set from Summit Racing that are matched to his camshaft. While the heads were off he picked up an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a new Summit Racing 110 GPH fuel pump. New Shorty Headman Headers are going on the car along with new battery cables. Lance hopes that these improvements will fix the missfire issues he was having and that he will gain some horsepower too.

CLUB MEMBER COREY SORENSON'S WINTER PROJECT ON HIS 2008 FORD MUSTANG GT INCLUDE SEQUENTIAL REAR TURN SIGNALS AND HID HEADLAMPS. TO INSTALL THE HID'S  ALONG WITH THE HALO'S THE MUSTANGS FRONT BUMPER AND GRILL MUST BE REMOVED. COREY TOOK THE TIME TO ADD A BILLET INSERT TO THE UPPER AND LOWER GRILL WHILE IT WAS OUT OF THE CAR. PICTURES BELOW SHOW THE INSTALLATION OF THE LIGHTS, BUMPER AND GRILL. COREY'S FATHER HELPED HIM WITH THE INSTALL AND WIRED THE HALO'S INTO THE PARKING LAMPS SO HE CAN RUN THE HALO'S WITHOUT THE HEADLIGHTS, OR WITH THE HEADLIGHTS AND FOG LAMPS.

CLUB MEMBER KYLE DOTSON HAS A HUGE PROJECT THIS WINTER. HE IS COMPLETELY REBUILDING THE LT1 IN HIS 1997 TRANS AM. HE IS ADDING LOTS OF GO FAST PARTS INCLUDING 4 BOLT MAINS, FORGED RODS AND PISTONS, BETTER HEADS AND CAM, ROLLER ROCKERS, LS7 ROLLER LIFTERS, NEW STAINLESS HEADERS AND Y PIPE, NEW HOLLEY 58MM THROTTLE BODY AND MORE. Club member Nick McKendry's project over the winter was more power. Nick acheived his goal by having Alternative Performance install a 2.1 liter Kenne Belle Supercharger and the accompanying fuel and tuning upgrades to his 2002 Mustang GT. Once installed the car made a solid 403 Horse Power at the rear wheels along with over 400 lb/ft of torque at the rear wheels from about 2800 rpms all the way to 6000 rpms.
